Thunder Up: Simple Modern Partners with OKC Thunder for In-Game Exclusive Merchandise Simple Modern, a leading producer of premium drinkware and consumer products, recently partnered with the OKC Thunder to create three, exclusive in-game sustainable drinkware options for Thunder fans at different home games. The third and last unique drinkware will be released March 29 at the Phoenix Suns home game at the Paycom Center. The successful partnership led the first drop to sell out completely before halftime and the second drop sold almost twice as many as the first on Super Bowl Sunday. In anticipation of demand, Simple Modern and the Thunder will release the largest drop March 29 – a 30-ounce Trek with a Thunder design that has never been available and won’t be available again after it sells out. “We love to partner with the Thunder, and teaming up to create unique Thunder drinkware that fans have loved has been such fun,” said Jared Deimund, Simple Modern custom licensed sales analyst. “And they are committed to furthering our efforts to encourage sustainability and limit single-use plastics. This partnership created an opportunity for us to promote sustainability while also allowing fans to express their love of the OKC Thunder – such a win for everyone.” The exclusive products are a true collaboration between Simple Modern’s manufacturing facility in Oklahoma City, where about a dozen Simple Modern team members created the Thunder ornamentations while the Thunder NBA franchise helped lead design efforts. “Collaborating with Simple Modern to create one-of-a-kind drinkware while promoting sustainability was a slam dunk,” said Will Syring, Thunder vice president of Corporate Partnerships. “It’s rewarding to work with such a mission-driven partner and to provide items for fans that they love long after they leave the game.” The last, new Thunder drinkware will be available while supplies last during the March 31 home game and will not be available outside of in-game purchase opportunities.
