I really love this lunch bag for my younger son. Its construction feels solid and sturdy, the inner lining keeps foods warm or cold. It doesn't feel like the silver lining material that I have seen in other lunch bags that eventually starts to stretch and rips apart. This embossed lining with the company logo seems a lot better in strength and thickness. The size of the bag is really nice as well and another feature that I love is the velcro strap inside for holding a bottle in place. I use this to hold my son's water, which a 16.9oz plastic water bottle. Although I have purchased the Simple Modern one, I haven't used it because my son complained that it makes the bag too heavy. For now since my son is small for his age, I have decided to not include it in his lunch bag. Once he is able to handle the weight, it will a wonderful addition. At first, the zipper pocket on the inside felt weird because it was solid and not mesh like other bags but I have come to like it a lot. This is mostly because my older son’s mesh pocket of his lunch bag (different company, which was pricier yet smaller) lunch bag has a huge hole after a month and a half of use. This made me realize that a solid pocket material is better, especially from this company because it seems to have a good elasticity and there are no rips. An important note is that I do pack my kids eating utensils but they are reusable plastic ones (from Bentgo). If Simple Modern creates their own, I would be willing to try it but…
