I am a partial quadriplegic so I have no use of my fingers so it makes it very hard to use a water bottle. With this lid. Not only can I use the hook to slip my fingers through and pull the bottle up, I can use my bottom lip to push the button to pop open the lid to sip through the straw and then push it back down with my chin. This is an absolute game changer for people with my injury level or people who have issues with their hands and opening things. Not only that, it's very durable and I like that you can buy the lid or interchange them with other colors. The one I had on my stainless steel version lasted about a year which is pretty good. The rubber started giving away and it started leaking out the side. Replaced it with a new one from here and I'm good to go! Thank you for making something for us, even if it was unintentional, that helps people of the spinal cord injury community!
