We exist to give generously. Since starting in 2016, we have given away over $10M to more than 1,000 non-profits. As a leading drinkware and consumer goods company, Simple Modern gives at least 10% of annual profits to communities around the world, equaling millions in donations since the company’s founding in 2015.
The majority of Simple Modern’s giving stays in the company’s headquartered state: Oklahoma. But a sizable amount reaches a national and international audience as well. Broken down, 87% of Simple Modern’s giving is local, with 7.2% considered national and 5.8% international giving.

Founder and CEO Mike Beckham and two other founders officially form Simple Modern as a company that exists to give generously.
Simple Modern manufactures its first water bottle, and the company starts selling as an e-commerce brand on Amazon.
Simple Modern launches retail sales in Sam’s Wholesale Club with a university licensing program including more than 100 universities. Simple Modern also launches sales in Walmart, and, the next year, Simple Modern adds Target to its retail offerings.
Simple Modern solidifies a NFL licensing agreement, with partnerships with the NHL, NBA and MLB to follow. In following years, Simple Modern would add other international brands like Disney, Marvel, Lucasfilm, Paramount, Hasbro and Warner Brothers and others as licensed partners.
Simple Modern launches retail sales in Walmart and sells its five millionth water bottle. And the company is named as a Great Places to Work designation, receiving the designation each consecutive year since.
Simple Modern begins hosting its Giving Summit, offering time to focus exclusively on nonprofit giving, inviting dozens of nonprofits each year to speak to employees about how the company can partner to help them reach their mission.
Simple Modern opens a domestic manufacturing facility in Oklahoma City with a focus on plastic water bottles, investing more than $6 million in domestic manufacturing. The company also launches its most popular drinkware product to date, the Trek, in October.
Simple Modern sells its 10 millionth water bottle, and cumulative giving exceeds $5 million to nonprofit partners.
Simple Modern launches into Europe, after an initial test run in 2017, with more than 100 of its best-selling products including the Trek, Summit, Classic and Voyager available to be shipped throughout Europe.
Simple Modern expands retail sales to partners like Kroger, Whole Foods, Kohls, Costco and more, expanding the brand to more than 10,000 storefronts across the country.
Simple Modern manufactures its 50 millionth cup, and grows to more than 100 employees.
Since Simple Modern’s founding, the company has now given more than $10 million to more than 1000 nonprofits locally, nationally and internationally.
